Source & processing :

The primary source of leather is animal skins and hides. Massive animal skins like horses and cattle are mentioned as hides. Those who are small as calves, sheep, kangaroo, and goats are called skin.

When the skin has been shifted, it is called flesh—removing the rest of the fat remaining.
Hide newly refined sent-in refrigerated trucks to tanning for processing directly to the skin. If this is not possible, the fleshy is “maintained” or preserved by soaking in salt water for 12 hours.

After curing, the skin can be stored for a few months without rotting and sent to Tanneries throughout the earth.
After arriving at a tannery, the cured hides are re-hydrated or soaked back and washed in big rotating drums. Using a solution of lime and sodium supplied with irregular turning hair is dispelled.

After removing the hair, the skin is neutralized with acid and treated with enzymes to eliminate deposits and increase tenderness. The coming process involves soaking the hides in a water solution, salt, and chloride acid or sulfate.
